About Adzera Language

Adzera, also known as Acira, Atsera or Atzera is a language of Papua New Guinea spoken by over 50,000 people in Eastern Highlands province -Kainantan border area. It is also spoken in Morobe province – Markham district and along Leron river.

The most common Adzera dialects include; Yarus, Amari, Ngarowapum, Tsumanggorun and Guruf-Ngariawang.

Over 85% of the Adzera population identify as Christian.

The Adzera New Testament Bible was alunched in 1976.
